In WISH 98, Ginger asks (Internet Archive):
What are three games or settings that you’ve bought or seen recently (in stores or previews) that you’d really like to try? What interests you about them and why?
Eberron: At first, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this campaign setting, but it’s grown on me as I’ve learned more about it. I like the steampunkish aspects of the game as well as the fact that the world is suffused with magic. It’s significantly different from the standard D&D line (and my own relatively-low magic Greyhawk campaign) and that alone is enough to intrigue me.
Paranoia XP: I loved the original Paranoia even if I never owned a copy of the game. I’ve had fun every time I’ve played it at a convention, and I’m looking forward to see how they’ve adapted the game to the modern age. Also, the libertarian in me appreciates its satire of tyrannical, collectivist societies.
D20 Future: From what I’ve read, this is the source book I wanted to see released back when d20 Modern first came out. Enough with the fantasy crap in a modern age — give me lasers, cybernetics, near-future conspiracies and starships roaring overhead. I think this book will be useful for rounding out our Fading Suns campaign, particularly with regards to starships.
